CastleStorm 2 expands the series’ mixture of castle destruction, troop deployment, hero combat, and strategy into a larger fantasy campaign. Knights, undead forces, magical abilities, siege weapons, and destructible fortifications all collide in battles where attacking the enemy castle is only part of the challenge.
Outside individual battles, players move across a strategic campaign map, capture territory, collect resources, strengthen their forces, and choose where to fight next. Different factions and units encourage changing tactics instead of relying on a single army composition.
How the Gameplay Works
During battles, players can fire a castle-mounted ballista at enemy troops and structures, summon units onto the battlefield, cast special abilities, and directly control powerful heroes. Destroying key parts of an enemy fortress can weaken its defenses or provide a faster route to victory.
Campaign decisions connect these battles through territory management and army development. Resources earned from controlled areas can be invested in improvements, while enemy movements force players to decide when to attack, defend, or strengthen their position.
