Punch Club is a management and role-playing game about training an aspiring fighter while investigating the mystery surrounding his father’s death. Instead of directly controlling every punch in the ring, players develop the fighter’s attributes, skills, lifestyle, finances, and combat strategy.
The game combines sports training with everyday responsibilities such as earning money, buying food, resting, and maintaining relationships. Several story paths and fighting organizations become available as the character’s reputation grows.
How the Gameplay Works
Players schedule activities that improve strength, agility, stamina, happiness, and other needs while time continuously passes. Training too aggressively can leave the fighter hungry or exhausted, while spending too much time earning money can slow athletic progress.
Combat itself plays automatically according to the skills and fighting style equipped before each round. Players unlock new techniques through different skill trees and adjust their build to counter opponents while deciding how to progress through the larger story.
