Chambers of Devious Design is a turn-based building puzzle game where rival architects compete to create efficient, valuable, and strategically connected room layouts. Each room has unique shapes, bonuses, and adjacency effects.
The game combines spatial planning with competitive drafting. A room that is valuable on its own may become far stronger when placed next to compatible chambers.
How the Gameplay Works
Players select rooms from available choices and fit them into a growing layout, trying to create combinations that increase score or satisfy objectives. Awkward shapes make efficient use of space important.
Different opponents and scenarios change priorities, while special room effects can disrupt or improve nearby areas. The challenge comes from planning several placements ahead without knowing exactly which room will appear next. The compact design still leaves room to improve because turn-based building puzzles and room drafting remain useful throughout, while spatial placement gives later stages enough variation to keep the core loop from becoming completely repetitive.
