Chess Survivors is a roguelite strategy game that mixes chess-piece movement with survivor-style enemy pressure. The player controls a single piece on a grid while large numbers of enemies gradually fill the board.
The game replaces free movement with chess rules, turning every escape and attack into a positioning puzzle. Different playable pieces require different strategies because their legal moves change how safely they can navigate crowded boards.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move one turn at a time according to the selected piece, capture enemies, collect upgrades, and choose abilities that improve damage, range, survivability, or special effects. Enemies also advance in predictable patterns after the player’s move.
As runs continue, the board becomes more crowded and stronger enemies appear. Upgrades can turn a limited chess piece into a much more powerful unit, but success still depends on avoiding positions where the next legal move leads into danger. Progression is therefore about more than simply reaching the next area. chess-piece movement rules, turn-based survivor pressure, and multiple playable chess pieces all contribute to how efficiently the player can handle each objective, while grid-based enemy waves provides another layer that becomes easier to appreciate after the basic controls and rules have been learned.

How to Install:
