About This Game:
Dead Space is a complete remake of the influential science-fiction survival horror game, rebuilding the nightmare aboard the USG Ishimura with modern visuals, audio, and expanded presentation. Engineer Isaac Clarke arrives on the enormous mining ship for what should be a repair mission, only to discover its crew missing and horrific creatures roaming its corridors.
Isaac’s search for his partner Nicole soon becomes a desperate fight to survive and understand what happened aboard the Ishimura. The remake preserves the isolated atmosphere and industrial setting of the original while connecting areas more naturally and adding further detail to the story.
How the Gameplay Works:
Players explore the ship from a third-person perspective, searching rooms for ammunition, upgrades, and supplies while completing engineering tasks needed to reach new areas. Necromorph enemies are most effectively stopped by cutting off their limbs rather than relying on conventional center-mass shooting.
Isaac can improve his suit and weapons using resources found aboard the vessel. Stasis slows dangerous targets and machinery, while Kinesis allows objects to be moved or used as improvised weapons, creating additional options during combat and environmental puzzles.
