Deep Rock Galactic is a cooperative first-person shooter about heavily armed space dwarves working for a mining corporation on the hostile planet Hoxxes IV. Teams are sent deep underground to gather valuable minerals, recover equipment, eliminate dangerous creatures, and complete other assignments inside enormous cave systems.
Every mission combines exploration, mining, and combat. The caves are generated differently for each operation and can be carved apart with mining tools and explosives, giving players freedom to create tunnels or reach resources almost anywhere in the environment.
How the Gameplay Works
Players choose between the Driller, Engineer, Gunner, and Scout, with each class providing different weapons and traversal equipment. Working together makes difficult caves easier to navigate because platforms, ziplines, drills, and grappling tools can solve different movement problems.
Minerals and mission objectives must be completed while waves of alien creatures attack the team. After finishing the main assignment, players call for extraction and race back toward the escape pod. Equipment, weapons, modifications, and cosmetic options can be unlocked through continued progression.
