Derail Valley is a first-person railway simulation where players take jobs, operate locomotives, move freight, and build a career across a large industrial rail network. The game emphasizes hands-on train operation instead of controlling everything from a management screen.
Different locomotives behave differently, and mistakes such as overspeeding, poor braking, or rough handling can create expensive problems.
How the Gameplay Works
Players walk around rail yards, couple cars, throw switches, read job orders, start locomotives, manage throttle and brakes, and deliver cargo to the correct destinations. Fuel, maintenance, and operating costs affect profit.
Licenses unlock more demanding jobs, heavier trains, and additional locomotive types as the player’s career progresses.
