Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins is a found-phone mystery set within the Doctor Who universe and connected to the story of the Weeping Angels. Players discover a missing person’s phone and begin receiving guidance from UNIT scientist Petronella Osgood while investigating strange events connected to Wester Drumlins.
The entire investigation unfolds through the smartphone interface, using messages, photographs, videos, calls, and applications to tell the story. Familiar Doctor Who ideas are mixed with a more personal digital mystery as the Weeping Angels become an increasingly dangerous part of the case.
How the Gameplay Works
Players search through the phone for clues, read conversations, inspect photographs, watch videos, and communicate with characters. Certain information needs to be connected or analyzed before additional parts of the device become accessible.
Incoming calls and messages move the investigation forward, while unusual changes to the phone itself signal supernatural interference. There is no traditional combat, leaving the focus on digital investigation and surviving the growing threat of the Angels.
