About This Game:
Phantom Brigade is a tactical strategy game about a small resistance force using powerful mechs to reclaim its homeland from an occupying army. Players command both the battlefield actions of their pilots and the larger campaign movement of a mobile base.
Its defining mechanic is the ability to predict several seconds of future enemy movement before issuing commands. This turns battles into carefully planned sequences where positioning, timing, weapon trajectories, and collisions can be considered in advance.
How the Gameplay Works
Combat occurs in short timed intervals. Players inspect the predicted enemy timeline, then schedule each mech’s movement, attacks, defensive actions, and other commands before allowing the sequence to play out simultaneously.
Outside combat, the mobile resistance travels around the strategic map, captures territory, gathers equipment, recruits pilots, and rebuilds mechs from salvaged components. Individual limbs, weapons, armor pieces, and subsystems can be replaced to create specialized machines.
