Prodeus is a fast first-person shooter designed to combine the speed and level structure of classic shooters with modern rendering, effects, and controls. Players battle through industrial facilities and corrupted landscapes filled with heavily armed soldiers, monsters, and supernatural forces while collecting an increasingly destructive arsenal.
Its enemies and weapons use a pixelated visual treatment despite existing in detailed three-dimensional environments. Heavy particle effects, exaggerated explosions, and persistent enemy damage create a deliberately intense presentation during larger battles.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move quickly through handcrafted levels searching for key items, switches, secrets, ammunition, health, and armor. Weapons range from shotguns and automatic rifles to explosives and powerful energy-based equipment, with enemies often attacking in large groups.
A campaign map connects individual missions and allows players to spend collected resources to unlock additional equipment and routes. Beyond the main campaign, multiplayer and community-created maps provide additional modes and levels.
