Dokapon Kingdom: Connect is a competitive board-game RPG where up to four adventurers travel across a fantasy kingdom, fight monsters, complete jobs, and compete to become the wealthiest hero. Cooperation is possible, but the game is famous for encouraging betrayal and direct interference between players.
The board is filled with towns, shops, dungeons, events, and battles. Character classes and equipment provide RPG progression, while dice-like movement keeps the experience unpredictable.
How the Gameplay Works
Players spin to determine movement, choose routes across the board, enter battles, buy equipment, change jobs, and liberate towns from monsters. Winning towns generates income, making territory an important part of the competition.
Players can also attack one another, steal items, apply status effects, or disrupt plans when they land in the right situations. The campaign can last many sessions, with online and local multiplayer making the social competition as important as the underlying RPG systems.
