Dying Light: The Beast brings Kyle Crane back as the protagonist of another brutal survival adventure in the Dying Light universe. After years of experimentation, Crane escapes into Castor Woods carrying both his familiar human skills and dangerous beast-like powers that are beginning to awaken inside him.
The countryside setting combines settlements, wilderness, industrial locations, and areas overrun by infected creatures. Daylight provides opportunities to explore and gather equipment, while nighttime allows stronger infected to emerge and makes travelling through the world significantly more dangerous.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore from a first-person perspective using parkour to move across structures and terrain while fighting infected with melee weapons, firearms, and other equipment. Kyle’s Beast powers add another combat option, allowing him to unleash devastating strength when circumstances become desperate.
Missions, exploration, loot, character progression, and survival systems encourage players to continually improve their equipment and abilities. The campaign can be experienced alone or cooperatively, while the changing danger between day and night affects how players approach exploration.
