Enter the Gungeon is a bullet-hell roguelike where a group of adventurers descends into a legendary fortress searching for a weapon capable of killing the past. The Gungeon is populated by living bullets, gun-wielding enemies, bizarre bosses, secret rooms, merchants, and an enormous collection of increasingly ridiculous firearms.
Every playable Gungeoneer has a different starting loadout and personal reason for reaching the weapon at the bottom. Procedurally arranged floors ensure that rooms, rewards, shops, and weapons appear differently between attempts.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move freely while aiming and firing independently. A dodge roll provides brief invulnerability and allows characters to pass through incoming projectiles when timed correctly.
Tables can be flipped to create temporary cover, while Blank items clear nearby bullets during emergencies. Hundreds of guns range from conventional firearms to weapons that fire sharks, letters, lasers, and other absurd projectiles.
