About This Game:
Inked is a hand-drawn puzzle adventure presented as if its entire world exists on the pages of an artist’s sketchbook. Players control the Nameless Hero, a ronin whose peaceful life with his partner Aiko is disrupted by a personal tragedy that sends him across a changing illustrated world.
The story also involves the Artist drawing the adventure, creating a relationship between creator and character that becomes increasingly important as the journey develops. Ballpoint-pen-style landscapes give every location the appearance of an unfinished but carefully designed illustration.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through isometric environments and solve puzzles using geometric objects that can be placed onto marked locations. Boxes, ramps, spheres, and other shapes interact with switches and environmental mechanisms.
Later puzzles combine several object types and require careful placement to create paths or activate systems. Exploration is primarily peaceful, with progression focusing on puzzle solving and the relationship between the Hero, Aiko, and the Artist.
