Frozenheim is a Viking-themed real-time strategy and settlement management game where players establish northern clans, gather resources, construct villages, explore surrounding territory, and lead warriors into battle. Different clan paths provide bonuses suited to economic development, warfare, exploration, or other strategic priorities.
Settlement survival is closely connected to military strength because workers are needed to maintain the economy while enemy forces can raid vulnerable buildings. Harsh weather and seasonal changes also influence how safely a growing village can operate.
How the Gameplay Works
Players gather wood, food, stone, and other resources before constructing houses, production buildings, defenses, docks, and military structures. Villagers can be assigned to different jobs while research and clan development unlock stronger economic and military options.
Armies contain different unit types that can use formations and terrain during real-time battles. Ships allow exploration, fishing, transport, and naval operations, while campaigns and skirmish modes provide different objectives.
