About This Game:
Factory Town is an automation and settlement-building game about transforming a small village into an interconnected production network. Workers initially carry basic resources by hand, but increasingly sophisticated transportation systems allow farms, mines, workshops, kitchens, markets, and factories to operate on a much larger scale.
Instead of separating city building from automation, the game connects both systems. Houses generate workers, towns consume goods, and production chains require raw materials to be gathered, processed into intermediate products, and eventually delivered where they are needed.
How the Gameplay Works
Players place buildings and assign workers to gather wood, stone, crops, ore, and other resources. Early transportation relies on people and simple carts, but conveyor belts, chutes, wagons, trains, and other systems can eventually move goods automatically.
Complex recipes require several production stages, making layout increasingly important as the settlement grows. Research unlocks new technology, while markets and homes consume finished goods that generate resources needed for further expansion.
