Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a standalone first-person shooter that reimagines the Far Cry 3 framework as an exaggerated 1980s science-fiction action movie. Players control cyber-commando Rex Power Colt on a neon island filled with enemy soldiers, mutants, and enormous Blood Dragons.
The game is intentionally shorter and more focused than Far Cry 3, with humor, retro visuals, and fast progression.
How the Gameplay Works
Players use rifles, shotguns, explosives, bows, and cyber-enhanced takedowns while capturing enemy garrisons and completing missions. Blood Dragons are powerful roaming creatures that can be lured toward enemy positions.
Leveling unlocks automatic upgrades, while side activities provide weapon attachments and rescues. The open island supports free exploration between missions.
