Fear the Spotlight is a third-person survival horror game inspired by classic 1990s horror titles, following teenagers Vivian and Amy after a séance at their school goes terribly wrong. The familiar building becomes distorted by supernatural events, forcing the characters to search for one another and uncover the school’s past.
The game uses low-poly visuals, fixed or cinematic camera framing, puzzles, and stealth to recreate the tone of older survival horror without relying on heavy gun combat.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore classrooms, offices, theater spaces, and hidden areas, collect keys and puzzle items, read documents, and operate mechanisms needed to progress. A dangerous entity can stalk certain sections, requiring the player to hide and avoid direct confrontation.
