About This Game:
Genesis Alpha One is a science-fiction roguelite that combines starship construction, crew management, exploration, resource gathering, and first-person combat. Earth has been devastated, and players command a Genesis expedition searching the galaxy for a suitable location to establish a new home for humanity.
The expedition vessel begins relatively small but can grow into a large modular ship containing crew quarters, storage facilities, refineries, greenhouses, weapons, hangars, and other specialized rooms. Alien organisms can also infiltrate the ship, turning routine expansion into a survival threat.
How the Gameplay Works
Players build ship modules on a grid while recruiting and cloning crew members needed to operate stations. The vessel travels between star systems to scan planets, harvest resources, discover technology, and search for promising worlds.
Planet expeditions are played from a first-person perspective and may involve hostile aliens, valuable materials, or genetic samples. Back aboard the ship, infestations must be controlled while new weapons, clones, and modules improve the expedition’s chances of finding a Genesis candidate.
