About This Game:
Halo: Combat Evolved is a science-fiction first-person shooter that follows Master Chief, a heavily armored supersoldier fighting alongside human forces against the alien Covenant. After escaping an attack on the UNSC Pillar of Autumn, Master Chief lands on a mysterious ring-shaped world known as Halo, where the conflict quickly expands into something far more dangerous than a simple war between humans and aliens.

The campaign combines large outdoor battlefields, interior combat, vehicle sections, and a memorable selection of weapons and enemies. Its sandbox-style encounters allow players to approach many fights differently depending on available weapons, vehicles, terrain, and enemy positions.

How the Gameplay Works
Players carry two weapons at a time and can switch between human and Covenant firearms found throughout each mission. Master Chief’s rechargeable energy shield absorbs damage before his health is affected, encouraging players to retreat briefly when the shield is depleted and return once it has recovered.

Grenades, melee attacks, and vehicles are important parts of combat alongside firearms. Enemies have distinct behaviors, with Grunts, Elites, Jackals, Hunters, and other threats requiring different tactics. Several missions also allow players to drive vehicles such as the Warthog, Ghost, Scorpion, and Banshee.
