About This Game:
A Short Hike is a relaxing exploration adventure about a young bird named Claire visiting Hawk Peak Provincial Park. With limited phone reception in the area, Claire decides to climb toward the mountain’s summit in hopes of making an important call. The simple objective gradually turns into a warm journey filled with other visitors, small activities, hidden places, and optional discoveries.
There is no pressure to reach the top immediately. Players can wander around the park, help other characters, search for collectibles, go fishing, race, swim, and discover alternate paths at their own pace. Its compact world is designed to reward curiosity rather than strict progression.
How the Gameplay Works
Claire can run, jump, climb, swim, and glide across the island. Climbing consumes stamina represented by golden feathers, and collecting more feathers allows her to scale taller surfaces and explore increasingly difficult routes toward the summit.
Characters around the park offer conversations, small quests, races, and other activities. Coins and items can be found through exploration, while shortcuts and hidden locations reward players who travel away from the main trail. The game can be completed quickly, but much of its charm comes from exploring everything around the mountain.
