About This Game:
Theta and Paralldox on Worldlines is a logic puzzle adventure inspired by quantum mechanics, parallel worlds, and the many-worlds interpretation. The story follows Theta, a curious girl who has the unusual habit of turning left whenever she reaches a wall. Her journey changes completely after discovering a mysterious fork capable of splitting her into multiple copies.
That simple duplication mechanic gradually develops into increasingly strange puzzles involving copies, universes, and the rules controlling reality itself. Six main chapters introduce new concepts while hiding deeper truths inside mechanics that may have been present from the beginning. More than 240 handcrafted puzzles provide the foundation for the journey.
How the Gameplay Works
Theta moves according to specific rules, requiring players to plan how she will travel through each puzzle space. The splitting ability creates additional versions of Theta that can be used together to satisfy different conditions, manipulate the environment, and reach locations that would be impossible with a single character.
Later puzzles expand the idea beyond simply duplicating Theta and begin manipulating larger concepts connected to parallel worlds. Hidden collectibles and meta puzzles encourage players to examine the rules carefully rather than treating each level as an isolated challenge. A hint system and notebook are available for reviewing previously discovered concepts when puzzles become more complicated.
