About This Game:
Hazel Sky is a narrative adventure about Shane, a young engineer sent to a distant island to complete a series of trials required by his home city of Gideon. Success would allow him to become an accepted engineer, but his growing interest in music and his contact with another young person force him to question the future that has been chosen for him.
The island is filled with abandoned machines, ruined workshops, personal notes, instruments, and remnants of earlier engineering trials. Exploration gradually reveals stories about previous candidates while developing Shane’s own conflict between duty and personal ambition.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore the island from a third-person perspective, climb structures, solve mechanical puzzles, and repair machines needed to complete each trial. Restoring aircraft and other vehicles requires locating parts and understanding how different mechanisms fit together.
Optional areas contain letters, musical instruments, and additional details about the island’s history. Platforming and environmental navigation connect the larger engineering puzzles while conversations over the radio move Shane’s personal story forward.
