Hellstuck: Rage With Your Friends is a punishing vertical platformer where players attempt to climb out of Hell using extremely simple jump controls. The challenge comes from precise timing, slippery recovery, and the possibility of losing a large amount of progress after one mistake.
The game belongs to the same frustration-driven style as Getting Over It and Jump King, where mechanical simplicity hides a steep mastery curve. Multiplayer adds extra chaos by placing several climbers in the same environment.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move left and right and control jumps while climbing platforms, ledges, and hazards. There are no complex abilities to unlock, so improvement comes almost entirely from learning jump distances and stage geometry.
Falling can send the player several sections downward, making consistency more important than speed. Online play allows friends to attempt the climb together, turning failed jumps and near-successes into a shared challenge. A large part of the progression comes from learning how punishing vertical platforming works alongside simple jump controls and large progress loss after falls. Those features support one another during normal play, while precision movement becomes increasingly important as the difficulty rises. This gives later sections more depth than simply increasing enemy health or asking the player to repeat identical objectives.
