About This Game:
HROT is a retro first-person shooter set in an alternate Czechoslovakia after an unspecified disaster in 1986. Players emerge from a civil-defense shelter beneath Prague and begin fighting strange soldiers, creatures, and increasingly bizarre enemies across gloomy locations inspired by the socialist architecture of the period.

The game deliberately resembles early 1990s shooters with low-resolution textures, brown-gray environments, compact levels, and fast movement. Its serious-looking setting is regularly interrupted by strange humor and unexpected details.

How the Gameplay Works
Players run through maze-like first-person levels while using pistols, shotguns, automatic weapons, explosives, and other equipment. Keys and switches open additional sections, while health, ammunition, and hidden supplies reward exploration.

Enemies attack aggressively from corridors and larger arenas, encouraging players to remain mobile. Secret areas and unusual interactive objects can be discovered away from the main route, while bosses provide larger encounters at important points in the campaign.
