HUNTDOWN is a side-scrolling action shooter set in a violent cyberpunk future where criminal gangs control the streets. Players choose one of three bounty hunters and fight through hostile districts while eliminating gang leaders and collecting the rewards placed on them.
The game combines detailed pixel art with influences from action movies and science-fiction culture of the 1980s. Each gang has its own visual style, enemies, weapons, and boss characters, making the campaign feel like a sequence of increasingly dangerous criminal territories.
How the Gameplay Works
Players run, jump, slide, take cover, and fire weapons while moving through side-scrolling stages. Firearms can be picked up from defeated enemies, while grenades and thrown weapons provide additional options against groups.
Each bounty hunter has a signature weapon and slightly different combat style. Stages culminate in boss encounters that require learning attack patterns, while local cooperative play allows two bounty hunters to fight through the campaign together.
