About This Game:
Gangsters: Organized Crime is a strategy and management game set during Prohibition in the fictional American city of New Temperance. Players become the leader of a growing criminal organization and attempt to expand their influence by recruiting gangsters, controlling territory, establishing illegal businesses, and forcing legitimate businesses to pay protection money.

Building a powerful organization also attracts attention from rival gangs and law enforcement. The player must balance profitable criminal operations with violence, bribery, intimidation, and attempts to keep important members of the organization away from prison or an early death.

How the Gameplay Works
Gangsters combines turn-based planning with real-time execution. During the planning phase, players assign orders to individual gang members, known as hoods. They can be instructed to extort businesses, collect protection payments, recruit new members, acquire property, investigate rivals, attack enemies, or complete other criminal jobs.

Once planning is complete, the working week begins and the city runs in real time while those instructions are carried out. Unexpected problems can develop as gang members encounter police or rivals. Expanding territory increases access to businesses and rackets, while money can be reinvested into the organization to strengthen its position throughout the city.
