About This Game:
Resident Evil 5 is a third-person action horror game following Chris Redfield and BSAA operative Sheva Alomar during an investigation in Africa. Their mission begins with reports of biological weapons trafficking and gradually develops into a larger outbreak involving infected enemies, mutated creatures, and connections to earlier events in the series.
The game is designed strongly around two-character cooperation, with Chris and Sheva traveling together throughout most of the campaign. Weapons, ammunition, healing supplies, and inventory space can be shared between the two characters, making teamwork important during larger encounters.
How the Gameplay Works
Players fight from an over-the-shoulder perspective using pistols, shotguns, rifles, machine guns, explosives, and other weapons. Enemies can be staggered with accurate shots before being finished with melee attacks, allowing ammunition to be conserved during crowded battles.
The partner is controlled by AI when playing alone or by another player during cooperative play. Weapons can be purchased and upgraded between missions, while The Mercenaries provides a separate score-based mode focused on defeating enemies quickly and maintaining combos.
