About This Game:
Hunted: One Step Too Far is a short first-person horror experience built around a nighttime geocaching trip that goes dangerously wrong. The protagonist enters an isolated environment looking for a hidden geocache and soon realizes that someone or something else is nearby.
The game combines walking-simulator exploration with survival-horror tension rather than relying on constant combat. Darkness, environmental sounds, and the uncertainty of being followed create much of the fear as players search unfamiliar surroundings for their objective.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore from a first-person perspective while searching locations for the geocache and clues that can help them continue. Visibility is deliberately limited, making careful observation important when moving through the dark environment.
The player is vulnerable and cannot approach danger in the same way as a traditional action-game protagonist. Progress instead revolves around exploration, staying alert, and surviving encounters long enough to uncover what is happening.
