About This Game:
In Sound Mind is a psychological horror adventure following therapist Desmond Wales as he awakens inside a strange building and begins uncovering disturbing connections to his former patients. Recordings of their therapy sessions lead into surreal environments shaped by individual fears, memories, and personal tragedies.
Rather than keeping the entire game in one location, each major section introduces a different psychological setting with its own visual identity, threats, puzzles, and story. Horror is mixed with exploration and occasional combat, while the larger mystery gradually connects the separate patient stories.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore from a first-person perspective while searching rooms, collecting important objects, reading documents, and solving environmental puzzles. Each patient-related area introduces mechanics that affect how the player navigates or deals with the threats found there.
Weapons eventually provide ways to defend against hostile creatures, although observation and puzzle solving remain important throughout the adventure. Returning to previously explored areas with new equipment can reveal additional routes and secrets, while recorded tapes provide access to major story locations.
