About This Game:
Jalopy is a road-trip simulation about driving an aging Laika 601 Deluxe across Eastern Europe with an uncle during the 1990s. The journey is as much about keeping the car running as reaching the next border, with weather, fuel, money, parts, and cargo all affecting progress.

The vehicle can develop mechanical problems if neglected, forcing players to pay attention to the engine, tires, battery, fuel mixture, and other components. Small profits from trading goods help fund repairs and travel costs.

How the Gameplay Works
Players manually load the car, inspect components, refuel, change tires, replace damaged parts, and drive across long roads between towns and border crossings. Trunk space is limited, so supplies and trade goods compete for room.

Roadside crates and shops provide opportunities to find useful items or goods that may sell for more in another country. Hotels, customs checkpoints, weather, and unreliable car parts turn each leg of the trip into a small management problem.
