Knights of Honor is a medieval grand strategy game where players rule a kingdom across Europe, North Africa, and parts of Asia. The focus is on expansion, diplomacy, trade, religion, espionage, and managing a royal court of specialized knights.
The game operates in real time on a large strategic map but keeps many systems more immediate than highly complex grand strategy titles. Kingdoms can grow through conquest, marriage, diplomacy, economic development, or manipulation.
How the Gameplay Works
Players appoint knights as marshals, merchants, spies, clerics, builders, or landlords, with each role handling a different part of the realm. Provinces produce income and resources while armies move across the map and besiege enemy settlements.
Battles can be resolved automatically or commanded more directly, while diplomacy allows alliances, marriages, peace treaties, and political pressure. Religion and royal succession create additional long-term concerns.
