About This Game:
LORT is a cooperative action roguelite where one to eight players enter a cursed fantasy world and attempt to survive by stacking increasingly ridiculous upgrades. Characters begin relatively weak, but repeated power-ups can transform an ordinary fighter into an overwhelmingly powerful build by the later stages of a run.
The game emphasizes chaotic cooperation rather than careful realism. Friends can revive one another, collect loot, experiment with combinations, and fight through procedurally generated environments filled with monsters and increasingly dangerous encounters.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore in third person while using weapons and abilities against groups of fantasy enemies. Defeated enemies and completed encounters provide loot and upgrade choices that can be stacked to improve damage, movement, survivability, or other effects.
Each run creates different combinations of powers and situations. Cooperative groups can build around complementary strengths while reviving teammates who fall during battle. Reaching the end requires surviving increasingly powerful enemies with whatever unusual build has emerged during that attempt.
