About This Game:
Metal Wolf Chaos XD is a modernized release of FromSoftware’s 2004 mech action game. The story follows fictional United States President Michael Wilson after Vice President Richard Hawk launches a coup and takes control of the country. Rather than surrendering, the president enters his heavily armed Metal Wolf mech and personally begins fighting to reclaim America.
The game deliberately embraces an exaggerated action-movie tone as battles move through recognizable American locations. Tanks, helicopters, soldiers, defensive installations, and enormous war machines stand between Michael and the forces controlling the country.
How the Gameplay Works
Players control Metal Wolf from a third-person perspective and move quickly around combat zones while carrying a large collection of firearms. Multiple weapons can be equipped and switched during battle, allowing machine guns, shotguns, rocket launchers, sniper weapons, and other equipment to be matched to different enemies.
Missions encourage players to destroy enemy equipment, rescue hostages, attack important targets, and cause large amounts of environmental destruction. New weapons can be developed and collected as progress is made. The XD release improves the original with refined controls, upgraded visual presentation, a new save system, widescreen support, and resolutions up to 4K.
