About This Game:
Pine is an open-world action adventure set on Albamare, an island where humans never became the dominant species. Players control Hue, a young human searching for a safer future for his small community while several intelligent animal civilizations compete for territory and resources around them.
The island is designed as an ecosystem in which different species can trade, fight, gather resources, expand, and react to changes even without the player’s direct involvement. Hue can choose which groups to support, oppose, or trade with as he travels through their territories.
How the Gameplay Works
Players freely explore Albamare while gathering materials, fighting creatures, solving environmental challenges, and trading with different settlements. Resources can be crafted into equipment and useful items that make exploration and combat easier.
Relationships with the island’s intelligent species can shift according to Hue’s actions. Helping one group may weaken another, while trading resources can change what a settlement is capable of doing. The wider simulation continues developing as species compete with one another across the open world.
