Monster Prom 2: Monster Camp takes the multiplayer dating-sim formula of the original game to a summer camp filled with returning monsters and new romantic possibilities. Players compete or cooperate while trying to impress one of the available characters before the camp reaches its final night.
The writing relies heavily on absurd humor, exaggerated supernatural personalities, and unexpected choices. Random events ensure that character statistics and relationships develop differently from one playthrough to another.
How the Gameplay Works
Each turn, players choose a camp location and encounter an event that usually presents several dialogue choices. Success depends partly on character statistics such as charm, creativity, fun, boldness, and other qualities.
The campfire introduces a drink system where selected beverages can alter events or provide special effects. Players gradually build affection with a chosen character before attempting to secure a date at the end of the session.
