About This Game:
Need for Speed Rivals is an open-world racing game built around the ongoing battle between illegal street racers and police officers in Redview County. Players can choose either side of the conflict, with racers trying to build increasingly valuable score chains while the police use powerful pursuit equipment to stop them.

The large map combines highways, mountain roads, coastal routes, forests, and smaller communities while dynamic weather changes the look and feel of each drive. Racer and police careers have different objectives, vehicles, progression paths, and equipment, making the two sides play differently despite sharing the same world.

How the Gameplay Works
Racers earn SpeedPoints by completing events, escaping pursuits, driving dangerously, and performing other actions. The longer they remain outside without returning to a hideout, the more points they can potentially earn, but getting busted can cause a large portion of those rewards to be lost.

Police players pursue racers using high-performance vehicles and equipment such as roadblocks, helicopters, shockwaves, and electromagnetic weapons. Events and pursuits can blend together across the open map, while cars can be upgraded or customized as players advance through their chosen career.
