About This Game:
Oaken is a tactical roguelike deck-building game set in a mystical world growing among the branches of the Great Oak. Players guide a hero and allied spirits through a journey to understand why the Oak’s guiding voice has disappeared and why corruption is spreading across the world.

The game combines card-based abilities with positioning on small hexagonal battlefields. Units have different strengths and powers, while the direction they face can influence attacks and defensive interactions during combat.

How the Gameplay Works
Players summon allies and use cards to attack, move, defend, or activate special effects during turn-based battles. Position and facing direction matter because attacks frequently affect particular neighboring hexes instead of every nearby target equally.

Between encounters, players choose paths through a branching map and improve cards, abilities, and allied spirits. Random rewards and encounters make each journey develop differently, while defeat requires another attempt with a new combination of tactical choices.
