About This Game:
Songs of Syx is a large-scale fantasy city-state simulation where players begin with a small settlement and can eventually rule a civilization containing thousands of inhabitants. Citizens belong to different races and social groups with individual needs, preferences, skills, and opinions about how the growing realm is governed.
The simulation expands beyond ordinary city building into regional politics, trade, military organization, conquest, taxation, and administration. As the population increases, the settlement can develop from a village into a huge capital controlling additional territories.
How the Gameplay Works
Players construct housing, farms, workshops, mines, warehouses, services, and large production areas while assigning workers throughout the economy. Different races may prefer certain jobs, foods, environments, or living conditions, making population management increasingly complicated.
Large armies can be raised for warfare, while diplomacy and trade connect the city to the wider world. Laws, taxation, research, infrastructure, and regional administration become more important as the settlement grows into a major kingdom or empire.
