About This Game:
Original War is a story-driven real-time strategy game built around a science-fiction conflict involving time travel and a mysterious extraterrestrial mineral. After American scientists discover that an alien artifact known as the EON can transport objects millions of years into the past, competing military forces are sent back through time to secure the mineral required to power it.
The conflict takes place in prehistoric Siberia, where modern soldiers, engineers, scientists, and vehicles are stranded far from their own era. Personnel are extremely valuable because new human units cannot simply be produced like ordinary RTS troops, giving individual characters much greater importance.
How the Gameplay Works
Players build bases, gather resources, research technology, construct vehicles, and command squads in real time. Individual characters develop their abilities through experience and can become better soldiers, engineers, mechanics, or scientists depending on how they are used.
Story missions include choices that can affect characters and later events, while maintaining a skilled workforce becomes important because casualties can permanently reduce the number of specialists available. Vehicles can be designed for different battlefield roles, combining strategic base management with RPG-style unit development.
