About This Game:
Ostriv is a city-building simulation inspired by settlements in 18th-century Ukraine. Rather than forcing towns onto a rigid square grid, the game allows roads and buildings to develop in more natural shapes, creating villages that feel less artificial as they expand.

Citizens have homes, jobs, families, and everyday needs, while the settlement depends on agriculture, production, trade, and careful preparation for changing seasons. Building a sustainable local economy becomes increasingly important as the population grows.

How the Gameplay Works
Players construct houses, farms, workshops, storage buildings, markets, and public facilities while assigning workers to different industries. Agricultural production changes throughout the year, making planting, harvesting, food storage, and winter preparation essential.

Goods move between workplaces and markets as citizens perform their daily routines. Trade with other settlements provides access to products the town cannot easily produce itself, while organic road placement allows neighborhoods and industrial areas to grow naturally around existing activity.
