Overloop is a 2D puzzle-platforming adventure set in a dystopian corporation where cloning technology has become dangerously easy to use. The player controls an employee armed with a cloning device that can create disposable copies of himself to solve problems.
The game uses dark comedy to explore what happens when human copies are treated as tools. Clones can be sacrificed, crushed, exploded, or left behind if doing so opens a route.
How the Gameplay Works
Players run, jump, create clones, move them into position, and use their bodies to activate switches, block hazards, or solve environmental puzzles. Some sections also include light combat or timing challenges.
New puzzle setups gradually demand more elaborate clone use, forcing players to think about sequence and positioning. The narrative unfolds between stages and turns the cloning mechanic into part of the satire rather than just a convenient platforming gimmick. Most of the depth comes from understanding how 2d puzzle-platforming, disposable cloning mechanic, and dystopian corporate setting fit together during normal play. Each feature can become more valuable in a different situation, and environmental puzzles gives later objectives another layer of difficulty. Adapting those systems to the current problem is usually more effective than following one rigid plan.
