Each ghost has a personal history hidden across documents, objects, and environmental clues. Players need to piece together that story while avoiding dangerous supernatural behavior.
How the Gameplay Works
Teams explore houses and other locations, search rooms, collect clues, identify important possessions, and discuss what the evidence suggests about the spirit’s identity. Different ghost types can react differently to player actions.
Once the group understands the haunting, it can attempt the correct resolution or exorcism. Cooperative communication is important because clues may be found in separate rooms, and spending too long investigating increases the chance of dangerous encounters. As more of the game opens up, cooperative ghost investigation remains central but gains extra depth from story-based hauntings and evidence and document collection. Those systems create room for different strategies, while different ghost behaviors encourages better use of the tools already introduced. Progress therefore feels like an expansion of the original loop rather than a series of disconnected mechanics.
