About This Game:
Patrick’s Parabox is a puzzle game built around boxes that can contain rooms, other boxes, or even themselves. Its recursive structure transforms familiar block-pushing puzzles into strange spatial problems where entering a box can reveal an entire playable area inside it.

The game gradually teaches the rules of recursion through carefully constructed puzzles rather than relying on complex explanations. New mechanics continually explore different consequences of worlds existing inside one another.

How the Gameplay Works
Players push blocks toward goal positions in a grid, similar to Sokoban. Certain blocks are themselves rooms, allowing the player and other objects to move into or out of their interiors.

Later puzzles use nested boxes, self-containing spaces, overlapping structures, and other recursive relationships. Solving them requires thinking about both the current room and the spaces contained inside its movable objects.
