About This Game:
Relic Dudes is a survivors-style action roguelike where characters fight enormous waves of enemies while collecting relics and upgrades that can combine into increasingly powerful builds. The game can be played alone, but its defining addition to the formula is online cooperative play for teams of up to four players.
Characters, relics, passive bonuses, stages, and bosses provide variety between runs. Cooperative teams can deliberately create complementary builds, although the chaotic number of enemies and effects also creates opportunities for less coordinated multiplayer fun.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move around arenas while attacks and abilities deal with approaching enemies. Experience and rewards gained during the run provide opportunities to choose relics and passive upgrades that modify damage, defenses, attack behavior, and other characteristics.
Enemy numbers increase over time until stronger creatures and bosses appear. Unlockable characters provide additional starting options, while multiplayer allows up to four participants to combine their builds during the same run. Choosing relics with effects that work well together becomes increasingly important at higher difficulty.
