Ravenswatch is an action roguelike that reimagines heroes from fairy tales, folklore, and legends inside a dark world corrupted by Nightmares. Characters inspired by figures such as Little Red Riding Hood, the Pied Piper, Sun Wukong, and the Snow Queen have completely different combat styles and abilities.
Runs unfold across large maps where players have a limited amount of time to become stronger before confronting major bosses. The game supports both solo play and cooperative teams, allowing different hero abilities to complement one another.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore regions in real time, clearing encounters, completing activities, earning experience, and collecting magical objects that modify character abilities. Each hero has a fixed core moveset but can gain different upgrades during a run, creating multiple possible builds.
A day-and-night cycle changes certain enemies and character abilities, while the countdown toward the chapter boss prevents players from clearing every location without prioritizing. Cooperative groups can divide responsibilities or fight together against tougher encounters before regrouping for bosses.
