Remorse: The List is a first-person survival horror game set in the unsettling Hungarian town of Hidegpuszta. The protagonist awakens with little explanation and only a mysterious list for guidance, gradually discovering how its entries connect to the disturbing events and creatures found throughout the area.
The game draws heavily from classic survival horror design, combining limited resources, inventory management, puzzle solving, exploration, and vulnerable combat inside an interconnected town rather than a completely linear sequence of corridors.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore streets, buildings, underground areas, and other locations while collecting keys, tools, ammunition, healing items, and clues. The list provides hints about important objectives, but figuring out where to go and how pieces connect is part of the challenge.
Hostile creatures require either firearms or close-range weapons, although ammunition scarcity makes avoiding unnecessary fights useful. Inventory space is limited, requiring decisions about which supplies to carry. Puzzles and newly acquired items gradually open additional areas of the town.
