About This Game:
Resident Evil 6 is an action-heavy survival horror game that tells several connected stories during a worldwide bioterror crisis. Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Jake Muller, and Ada Wong each experience different parts of the outbreak, with their campaigns occasionally crossing as the larger conspiracy unfolds.
Each campaign has a slightly different tone, ranging from darker zombie encounters to military-style action and large monster battles. The game greatly expands mobility compared with earlier Resident Evil entries, allowing characters to dodge, slide, fight at close range, and fire from different positions during fast-moving encounters.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore environments from an over-the-shoulder perspective while using pistols, shotguns, rifles, explosives, and character-specific equipment against infected enemies and biological weapons. Characters can move while aiming and use melee attacks to save ammunition or finish weakened opponents.
Most campaigns support cooperative play, with two characters working through story chapters together. Skill points collected during missions can be spent on abilities that improve combat performance, while The Mercenaries provides a score-focused mode where players defeat enemies quickly to maintain time and combo bonuses.
