Right and Down is a minimalist roguelike card game where movement is limited to only two directions: right and down. Each run takes place on a grid filled with enemies, treasure, potions, equipment, and exits.
The restriction creates the entire puzzle. Because the player cannot move backward, every step commits the run to a new route and can permanently cut off useful rewards.
How the Gameplay Works
Players choose a path across the grid, fight enemies automatically when entering their tile, collect equipment, and manage health. Character abilities and items change how dangerous different routes become.
Multiple heroes and difficulty modifiers add replay value, while short runs make experimentation quick. Success comes from reading the board several moves ahead and deciding which fights are worth taking before the path closes behind the player.
