About This Game:
Rising Hell is a vertical action roguelite where players fight upward through a constantly changing version of Hell. Demons, traps, platforms, and enormous bosses stand between the trapped warriors and the surface, while an aggressive heavy-metal soundtrack accompanies the climb.
Different playable characters provide their own attacks and abilities, and each attempt can produce a different selection of upgrades. The focus is on maintaining momentum through fast melee combat, aerial attacks, platforming, and increasingly dense groups of enemies.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move upward through procedurally assembled rooms while attacking demons at close range. Jumping onto enemies, launching attacks in the air, and chaining kills together helps maintain a fast pace while also allowing the player to continue climbing without constantly returning to the ground.
At certain points, players choose upgrades and relic-like bonuses that change the current build. Different routes can lead through separate regions of Hell before major boss battles test the abilities accumulated during the run. Death ends the attempt, but repeated play unlocks additional possibilities.
